The building, centrally located in the luxury shopping district of SoHo, is a 6-story commercial building completed in 1908 and later converted into residences and retail. Designed by Frederick Fabel as a light manufacturing building for Gillis & Geoghegan, a steam heating company. G&G moved out and was replaced by United Brush Manufactories in 1921, whose gold-lettered signage is still attached to the facade above the second floor. The facade is clad in grey brick, with three banded brick piers dividing it into two sections of four bays each, and is topped by a black metal roof cornice. The building was converted to condominiums in 1983. Boiler Assessment $357.33 per month through 2023.
